Men's #AEHoops Week 6: Four Teams Earn Non-League Wins

BOSTON – Four America East teams picked up wins last week with Vermont improving to 7-5 and Maine picking up a win at Boston University. NJIT and UMass Lowell also picked up victories.
 
Need to Know
  • Vermont beat Marist, 66-59, on Saturday. Noah Barnett led a balanced Catamount attack with 16 points and five rebounds. UVM has posted back-to-back wins.
  • Maine upended Boston University, 69-59, on Thursday to pick up its first win. TJ Biel’s 19 points paced the Black Bears.
  • NJIT grabbed its fourth win of the season on Wednesday by beating New Haven, 70-64. Jabri Fitzpatrick had a double-double of 20 points and 10 boards to lead the Highlanders.
  • Twelve more games take pace this weekend highlighted by Vermont taking on MAAC foes Siena and Iona.
  • Binghamton’s Demetrius Lilley leads the league in scoring, averaging 16.4 points per game. His seven double-doubles are tied for fourth-most nationally.
  • Conference play kicks off with four games on Saturday, Jan. 3.

2025-26 Weekly Award Winners (Dec. 15)

Player of the Week
Jaden Kempson, UAlbany – Jr., Guard, Bronx, N.Y.
  • Averaged 24.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals in two games.
  • Scored a career-best 30 points on 11-of-16 shooting vs Florida Atlantic on Saturday.
  • Had 18 points and five boards vs. Yale on Wednesday.
  • This is Kempson’s first career #AEHoops Player of the Week honor.
 
Rookie of the Week
Timofei Rudovskii, Bryant – Fr., Guard, Moscow, Russia
  • Averaged 17.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in a pair of games.
  • Had his first career double-double at Iona on Wednesday, registering 17 points and 11 boards.
  • This is Rudovskii’s first #AEHoops Rookie of the Week honor.
