BOSTON - UMBC claims at least a share of the #AEVB regular season title and will be the top-seed in the upcoming #AEVB Championship.

- The Retrievers have been rolling and did not slow down over the weekend. UMBC has posted five straight wins and secured at least a share of the #AEVB regular season title. On Friday, UMBC took down NJIT in three straight sets. UMBC followed the win up with another home win against New Hampshire. With three Retrievers reaching double-digit kills, UMBC managed to come back and secure the win.
- Bryant picked up a huge road win in their lone conference match up of the week. The Bulldogs won the first two sets and managed to hold Binghamton off in the fifth set. Arianna Ugolini, of Bryant, finished with 21 kills and 20 digs in the victory. Bryant will face UAlbany Friday with playoff seeding on the line.
- The Highlanders earned their first conference win in dramatic fashion on Sunday. In a reverse sweep against UAlbany, NJIT pulled off a huge upset on their final home match of the season.
- The final matchups of the regular season take place Friday night, and a lot is on the line. UAlbany hosts UMBC, New Hampshire takes on Binghamton, and Bryant faces NJIT.

Player of the Week
Arianna Ugolini, Bryant – Sr., Outside Hitter, Bologna, Italy
- Ugolini finished with a game-high of 21 kills and a team-high of 20 digs in a win against Binghamton. Also added two aces and two blocks.
- This is Ugolini’s 10th double-double of the season.
- This is Ugolini’s second #AEVB Player of the Week honor of the season.
Setter of the Week
Maria Olga Siapani, UAlbany – So., Setter, Limassol, Cyprus
- Totally five kills, 42 assists, 17 digs, and a block against NJIT.
- Siapani averaged 8.40 assists per set and 3.40 digs per set.
- This is Olga Siapani’s seventh #AEVB Setter of the Week honor of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Hannah Howard, UMBC – Jr., Libero, Inwood, West Va.
- Howard totaled 32 digs in only seven sets, including 19 in the four-set win against New Hampshire.
- Had 8 assists in the win over UNH and added 3 aces for the week. Went 29/29 in serve receive and anchored defense that held opponents to .120 hitting.
- This is Howard’s seventh #AEVB Defensive Specialist of the Week honor of the season.
Rookie of the Week
Ruth Ochelli, Bryant – Fr., Outside Hitter, Sugar Land Texas
- Ochelli tied her career high in kills with 20 against Binghamton.
- Had a .429 hitting percentage in the victory
- This is Ochelli’s second #AEVB Rookie of the Week honor of the season.
