- UMBC has been rolling this month as they post another unbeaten week. On Wednesday, the Retrievers took down Howard in a 3-1 win before traveling to defending America East champion New Hampshire. Jalynn Brown had 22 kills on .333 hitting and Helen Frankovich added 11 kills on .421 hitting with seven blocks as UMBC secured the five-setter win.
- UAlbany hosted Siena on Tuesday night. After losing the first set, the Great Danes went 3-0 to take the 3-1 victory. Led by graduate Kendall Harris, UAlbany returned home to take on conference opponent, NJIT. The Highlanders came out to a quick start before UAlbany found their rhythm to finish the match 3-1.
- Bryant won their single game this week as they hosted Binghamton on Sunday. The Bulldogs swept Binghamton in three straight sets to earn their fourth straight home victory.
- Three conference match ups this weekend as teams prepare for the halfway point of conference play. NJIT hosts top seed Bryant, New Hampshire travels to Binghamton and UMBC looks to make it four wins in a row as they take on UAlbany Saturday afternoon.

Weekly Award Winners – Oct. 14
Player of the Week
Jalynn Brown, UMBC – Jr., Outside Hitter, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
- Finished with 36 kills on .349 hitting for the week, 4.00 kills per set, including 22 kills on .333 hitting in the win at New Hampshire on Sunday.
- Added seven blocks, three aces and 10 digs in the win.
- This is Brown’s first #AEVB Player of the Week honor of the season.
Setter of the Week
Madison Koeller, Bryant – Jr., Setter, Winchester, Va.
- Recorded 41 assists and eight digs against Binghamton on Sunday.
- Currently ranks second in the conference in assists per set at 8.11.
- This is Koeller’s second #AEVB Setter of the Week honor of the season.
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Hannah Howard, UMBC – Jr., Libero, Inwood, West Va.
- Had a match-high 16 digs along with seven assists and a pair of aces in the win at New Hampshire
- Set a career-high with six aces and five assists in a 2-0 week for UMBC.
- This is Howard’s fourth #AEVB Defensive Specialist of the Week honor of the season.
Kasia Barletta, UAlbany - So., Defensive Specialist, Clifton Park, NY
- Totalled 46 digs, averaging 5.75 digs per set to help UAlbany finish 2-0 this.
- Chipped in eight aces and 13 assists.
- This is Barletta's first #AEVB Defensive Specialist of the Week honor of the season.
Rookie of the Week
Lucy Chertock, New Hampshire – Fr., Outside Hitter, Danville, Calif.
- Chertock totaled 17 kills on .282 attacking percentage, four digs, and four blocks against UMBC.
- Averaged 3.4 kills per set and a team-leading 3.8 points per set.
- This is Chertock’s third #AEVB Rookie of the Week honor of the season.
