BOSTON – UAlbany extended its win streak to six with a pair of conference victories and took over first place in the #AEVB standings while UMBC secured a crucial win in its lone game of the week. 
Need to Know
	- UAlbany had another successful week as the Great Danes defeated New Hampshire in three sets on Friday and rallied from a two-set deficit to defeat Bryant in a thrilling five-set match on Sunday. The Great Danes have won six in a row and sit atop of the #AEVB standings.
- UMBC swept Binghamton and moved to 4-2 in conference play. The Retrievers were led by Jalynn Brown who had 18 kills on .277 hitting and eight digs in the win. UMBC finishes non-conference play on Wednesday before taking on Bryant this Sunday afternoon.
- Bryant took down Manhattan, 3-1, earlier in the week. Despite the loss on Sunday, the Bulldogs remain 4-2 in conference play and will host defending America East Champions, New Hampshire, on Friday.  
- Binghamton secured an out of conference win against New Haven. The Bearcats are .500 in conference play with four conference matchups left.
- Four conference games take place this weekend. UAlbany travels to Binghamton while Bryant hosts New Hampshire on Friday. On Sunday, Bryant faces UMBC and NJIT hosts Binghamton at 1 pm.

Weekly Award Winners – Oct. 28
Player of the Week
Jalynn Brown, UMBC – Jr., Outside Hitter, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
	- Had a match-high 18 kills on .277 hitting and eight digs in only three sets in the sweep of Binghamton.
- Added a block and was a perfect 13/13 on serve receive as she played every point of the match. 
- This is Brown’s second #AEVB Player of the Week honor of the season.
Setter of the Week
Maria Olga Siapani, UAlbany – So., Setter, Limassol, Cyprus
	- Had four kills and 78 assists in a 2-0 week. Chipped in 28 digs while averaging 9.75 assists per set and 3.50 digs per set.
- Siapani had 41 assists, 17 digs, and two kills in a 3-2 win over Bryant.
- This is Siapani’s fifth #AEVB Setter of the Week honor of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Hannah Howard, UMBC – Jr., Libero, Inwood, West Va.
	- Had a team-high 14 digs, four assists and two aces, and anchored a defense that held Binghamton to only .117 hitting in a conference sweep.
- Howard averaged 4.67 digs per set in the win.
- This is Howard’s fifth #AEVB Defensive Specialist of the Week honor of the season.
Rookie of the Week
Lucy Chertock, New Hampshire – Fr., Outside Hitter, Danville, Calif.
	- Chertock put up 20 kills across seven sets this week (2.86 kills per set).
- Chipped in three service aces alongside three assists & managed nine digs (1.29 digs/set) and four block assists, in total producing 25 points (3.57 points/set).
- This is Chertock’s fifth #AEVB Rookie of the Week honor of the season.
