BOSTON – After leading their teams to top-five national rankings during the regular season and an NCAA Tournament appearance, three players from Vermont and Bryant were named as United Soccer Coaches All-Americans, as announced by the organization on Friday.
Vermont's Niklas Herceg was named to the first team, while classmate David Ismail earned second-team honors, and Bryant’s Jaime Amaro was a third-team selection.
The three All-Americans in 2025 tie the most in league history and mark the sixth time in the last seven seasons that the America East has had multiple All-Americans
Herceg, the America East Goalkeeper of the Year, was dominant for the Catamounts this season leading the league in save percentage (.786) and shutouts (10) while ranking second in GAA (0.71). He finished the year with a 14-1-5 overall record.
Ismail had a breakout campaign in 2025, scoring ten goals and assisting on three others. The first-team All-Region selection had three multi-point games during the regular season and scored in five of the final seven games of the year.
Amaro led the America East in scoring this season, with ten goals and seven assists in 22 games. The #AEMSOC Striker of the Year helped Bryant reach as high as No. 2 in the national rankings and earn the program’s first NCAA Tournament win, 1-0 over Seton Hall.
The America East is one of the best men’s soccer conferences in the country and home to 2024 National Champion Vermont. In 2025, both Vermont and Bryant found themselves ranked in the top-three multiple weeks, the first time the league had two teams in the top-three. Overall The conference has received multiple bids to the NCAA tournament in five of the past 10 seasons. Five different teams have reached the third round of the NCAA tournament since 2014.
