Vermont Claims Regular Season Title as #AEMSOC Bracket is Set

BOSTON – No. 2 Vermont concluded its regular season with a 3-0 victory over Binghamton to claim its first outright regular season crown since 2017 and sit atop the 2025 America East Men’s Soccer Championship bracket, released this evening.
 
The Catamounts concluded the regular season with a 6-0-1 conference record and 19 total points, while No. 7 ranked Bryant was close behind with a 6-1 mark and 18 points as the Bulldogs earn a bye to the semifinals.
 
The championship commences on Saturday with quarterfinal action. All games of the 2025 #AEMSOC Championship will air on ESPN+ domestically and AmericaEast.TV internationally. Below are the final seeds for this year’s championship.

  1. Vermont (19 pts) – The defending conference champions secured the No. 1 seed for the first time since 2017.
  2. Bryant (18 pts) – Earned a top-two seed for the first time in program history.
  3. UAlbany (11 pts) – Secured a top-four seed for the second time in the last four seasons.
  4. New Hampshire (10 pts) – Clinched a top-four seed for 10th straight year.
  5. UMBC (8 pts) – Secured fifth straight appearance in the championship
  6. UMass Lowell (8 pts) – Earned first championship berth since 2019.
 
This marks Vermont’s fourth regular conference title in the past nine seasons, but the first outright title and No. 1 seed since 2017. The defending national champions have yet to drop a game this year and own the nation’s longest unbeaten streak at 27 contests.
 
Bryant is in the midst of its best season as a program, with a No. 6 national ranking and No. 2 Seed in the conference tournament following a 2-0 victory over New Hampshire on Tuesday. UAlbany secured the No. 3 Seed with a home draw against UMass Lowell for 11 points, while the Wildcats earned the No. 4 Seed with 10 points. UMBC and UMass Lowell both finished with eight points, but UMBC secured the No. 5 Seed due to its victory over the River Hawks during the regular season.
 
Quarterfinal action begins on Saturday at 3 p.m. as No. 4 New Hampshire hosts No. 5 UMBC, with the winner set to face the Catamounts on Wed., Nov. 12. No. 3 UAlbany will welcome No. 6 UMass Lowell at 7 p.m. on Saturday and the victor will face Bryant on Wednesday.
