BOSTON – Our #AEXC teams traveled to five different meets over the weekend, each finding their own success on the way.
The Binghamton cross country teams finished the regular season on a high, as they swept the team titles at the Canisius Cross Country Alumni Classic. Anna Gansrow won her first career title with a 5k time of 17:36 while Sydney Leitner was close behind at 17:40. Vermont closed out the regular season by collecting a team victory at the Fall Foliage Invitational. Siena Stanley finished fourth with a time of 18:26.40. At the ECAC Championships, Jessie Fotheringham has found her footing as she dominated the course with a 6k personal best of 21:02.4.
On the men’s side, Binghamton’s Bobby Mayclim finished fifth overall with an 8k time of 25:04 at the Canisius Alumni Classic. UMass Lowell’s men’s cross-country team ran hard in the Princeton Fall Classic on Friday. Sean Kennedy-Wonneberger finished the 8k course in 23:37.6 and took 25
th place. Jan Wouter Van Den Akker finished at 23:43.2 while freshman William Conklin completed the course in 24:42.5.
As we approach the final weekend of events before the #AEXC Championships, multiple teams will compete one last time. UMass Lowell and New Hampshire will travel to Connecticut for the CCSU Mini meet while Bryant competes in the Rothenberg Run.

Female Rookie and Performer of the Week
Jessie Fotheringham, NJIT – Fr., Tamworth, NSW, Australia
- Fotheringham earned her third top-10 finish of the season, finishing seventh at the ECAC Championships.
- She had a personal best 6k time of 21:02.4 and is the first Highlander in program history to earn All-East honors.
- This is Fotheringham’s third #AEXC Rookie of the Week & first Performer of the Week honor this year.
Male Performer of the Week
Sean Kennedy-Wonneberger, UMass Lowell – Sr., East Haddam, Conn.
- Ran impressively at the Princeton Fall Classic, finishing the 8k race in 25th place out of 318 finishers with a time of 23:37.6.
- Kennedy-Wonneberger completed the 8k course at a 4:45.2 pace.
- This is Kennedy-Wonneberger’s second #AEXC Performer of the Week honor this year.
Male Rookie of the Week
William Conklin, UMass Lowell – Fr., Danvers, Mass.
- Conklin finished in 130th in the 8k at the Princeton Fall Classic with a 24:42.5 mark.
- This is Conklin’s second Rookie of the Week honor.
