BOSTON - It was an eventful weekend for our #AEXC teams has six programs competed over the weekend. All six teams including NJIT, UMass Lowell, Bryant, Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire, placed within the top 10 of finishers.
Maine traveled to the Maine State Meet where they placed second overall. Freshman Lila Garbett finished in 1st place for the women with a time of 21:42.1 in the 6k. UMass Lowell and Bryant both found success as they traveled to UMass Dartmouth over the weekend. For the River Hawks, the men’s cross-country team finished 1st while the women placed 3rd. Sean Kennedy-Wonneberger finished the 8k in 24:48.6 at a 4:59.4 mile pace. Jasmine Trott, of Bryant, helped lead the way for the Bulldogs as she finished 3rd with a time of 21:25.3 in the 6k. The New Hampshire women’s cross-country team finished in 2nd place as Ruth White led the way at a 5:30 pace and 17:06.6 finish in the 5k. NJIT freshman Jessie Fotheringham helped the women's cross-country team with a 6th place finish as she broke the 5k program record with a time of 17:46.2.
Maine will run at the Gans Greek Classic Friday morning and Vermont travels to the Equality Invitational on Saturday.

Female Performer of the Week
Ruth White, New Hampshire – So., Orono, Maine
- Won back-to-back first-place finishes in the first two meets of the season.
- Completed the 5k course in 17:06.6 at a 5:30 pace.
- Earned second career #AEXC Performer of the Week honor.
Female Rookie of the Week
Jessie Fotheringham, NJIT – Fr., Tamworth, NSW, Australia
- Ran the fastest 5k in program history while finishing fourth with a time of 17:46.2 at the Main Line Invitational.
- Ran at a 5:43 mile pace.
- This is Fotheringham’s first #AEXC Rookie of the Week honor.
Male Performer of the Week
Sean Kennedy-Wonneberger, UMass Lowell – Sr., East Haddem, Conn.
- Secured first place at the UMass Dartmouth meet and helped lead his team to a first place finish over the weekend.
- He completed the 8k course with a time of 24:48.6 and a 4:59.4 pace.
- This is Kennedy-Wonneberger’s first Performer of the Week honor this year.
Male Rookie of the Week
Lasse Bjorn Jensen, NJIT – Fr., Odense, Denmark
- Finished 20th with a 4-mile time of 20:15.5 at the Main Line Invitational.
- Finished the 8k course at a 5:04 mile pace.
- This is Jensen’s first Rookie of the Week honor.
