Baseball 5/19/2026 3:00:01 PM #AEBASE All-Conference Released as Four Programs Claim Major Awards BOSTON - Four different programs secured #AEBASE major awards as the league released its All-Conference, All-Rookie and All-Academic honors on Tuesday afternoon. UMBC’s Ehi Okojie was named the Len Harlow Player of the Year, while UAlbany’s Dylan Banner was honored as the Pitcher of the Year. Hunter St. Denis of Maine was recognized as the Rookie of the Year while Binghamton’s Tim Sinicki and UMBC’s Liam Bowen were named Co-Coaches of the Year. Award winners were determined in a vote by the league's head coaches who were not permitted to vote for their own players. The All-Academic selections were chosen by a committee of athletic administrators. 2026 #AEBASE Major Award Winners Len Harlow Player of the Year Ehi Okokie, UMBC – Sr., Outfield Ranked 3rd in the league with a .986 OPS and first in both RBI (58) and doubles (17) while hitting .313 with 60 hits and scoring 46 runs. In conference play has a 1.029 OPS with a league-best 32 RBI and eight home runs while hitting .320. Named First-Team All-Conference in outfield UMBC’s first #AEBASE Player of the Year honoree and first major award winner since 2024. Pitcher of the Year Dylan Banner, UAlbany – Sr., Pitcher Ranked 2nd in the league in ERA (3.94), Innings (82.1), strikeouts (63) and 4th in opponent batting average (.255) while posting a 2-5 overall record. Went 2-2 in conference play while leading the league in ERA (2.60), complete games (3), innings (55.1) and fewest walks allowed by qualified pitchers (9). Also finished 2nd in with 41 strikeouts and a .205 opponent batting average. Named First-Team All-Conference for a 2nd straight year. First Great Dane to be named #AEBASE Pitcher of the Year. Rookie of the Year Hunter St. Denis, Maine – Fr., First Base Hit .295 with a 56 hits, 38 RBI, 36 runs, 10 home runs and nine doubles while starting at first base. In conference play, ranked 3rd in the league in OPS (1.49), while hitting .348 with 31 hits, 22 runs, 16 RBI and six home runs. Lone freshman named First-Team All-Conference. First Black Bear to win Rookie of the Year since 2007 and sixth overall. Co-Coach of the Year Tim Sinicki, Binghamton Led Binghamton to a 28-20 overall record and 17-7 conference mark, capturing the program’s first regular season title since 2017. Earned the No. 1 Seed in the #AEBASE Championship while leading the league in runs scored (178) and ranking second in average (.289), on-base percentage (.393) and home runs (22). Seventh career Coach of the Year honor and first since 2017. Assisted by Ryan Hurba, Mike Folli, Mike Coss and Mark Ryan. Co-Coach of the Year Liam Bowen, UMBC Helped UMBC to its third No. 2 Seed in the past four seasons, while posting a 22-20 overall record and 15-9 mark in conference play. In conference play, UMBC led the lead in average (.298), slugging (.402) and total bases (354) while posting the second best ERA in the league (4.61). First career Coach of the Year honor. Assisted by Phil Disher, Chris Kahler, Brendan McGowan and Sean Miller. UMBC led the league with eight all-conference selections, as four were named to the first team and four to the second team. Binghamton had seven total, three on the first team and four on the second team. Third place Maine had three first team honorees. All seven schools had at least one All-Rookie selection, led by NJIT, UMBC and Maine with two apiece. Three UMBC Retrievers were honored as All-Academic while UMBC and UMass Lowell had a pair recognized.
