Baseball 5/16/2026 7:05:38 PM 2026 #AEBASE Championship Set, Play Begins Wednesday BOSTON – The host of the 2026 America East Baseball Championship will be the No. 1 seed as the Binghamton Bearcats claimed their first #AEBASE regular-season title since 2017 and seventh in program history. The tournament, which will also feature #2 UMBC, #3 Maine, #4 Bryant, #5 UMass Lowell and #6 UAlbany takes place Wednesday through Saturday in Vestal, N.Y. The Bearcats finished conference play xx-xx by winning 15 of their last 18 league contests. UMBC swept NJIT to earn the No. 2 seed while Maine took all three from UAlbany to earn the No. 3 seed. Bryant, which was idle this week is No. 4 while UMass Lowell earned the No. 5 seed via a win over Binghamton and UAlbany is No. 6. This year’s championship will be held at the Bearcats Baseball Campus on the campus of the Binghamton University. For the fourth-straight year the championship will be a hybrid format. On Wednesday, No. 3 Maine faces No. 6 UAlbany, while No. 4 Bryant and No. 5 UMass Lowell square off in a pair of single elimination games. The winning teams advance to the four-team double-elimination portion of the tournament Thursday-Saturday. The Black Bears and Great Danes kick things off at 1:00 p.m. followed by the Bulldogs and River Hawks at 5 p.m. The two losing teams will be eliminated, while the winners will advance to Thursday.
