BOSTON – All eight AESD programs we're back in the pool across New England and the Mid-Atlantic as they continue to prepare for the up and coming 2026 America East Swim & Dive Championship Meet.

Seven AESD programs will return to action this week one last time befre taking a week off before the 2026 America East Swimming & Diving Championship. For the third consecutive year, the championship meet will be held at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI), where the teams will travel south to compete in the four-day event.

2025-26 #AESD Women’s Weekly Award Winners – Jan. 27
Female Swimmer of the Week
Ruby Tonelli-Smith, Bryant – So., Sydney, Australia
 

• Tonelli-Smith touched the wall first to in the Bulldog's dual meet Against BU
• The sophomore won the 200 Fly in 1:57.68 before coming back and swimming a 53.32 in the 100 yard fly 
• This is her third #AESD Swimmer of the Week honor of the season.

 
Female Diver of the Week
Megan Beasley, Bryant - Jr., Harrogate, England

• Megan Beasley broke the school record in the 3-meter dive, compiling 315.90 points
• The junior also placed second in the 1-Meter dive with 289.58 points.3
• This is her fifth #AESD Diver of the Week honor of the season.

 
Female Rookie of the Week
Kara Cullinan, Vermont - Fr., Cumming, Georgia

• Cullinan earned her first career win, taking the 500 Free at the dual meet vs Siena in a time of 5:05.72.
• This is her first #AESD Rookie of the Week recognition.

Male Swimmer of the Week
Mohamed Walid, NJIT - Fr., Alexandria, Egypt

• Walid came up big in the 168-123 victory over Lafayette
• The first-year won both the 200 Fly and 100 Fly
• To go along with his individual wins, the newcomer played a part on both the winning 400 medley relay and 200 free relay
• This is his second #AESD Swimmer of the Week honor of the season.

 
Male Diver of the Week
Christopher Buonocore, Bryant - Sr.,Long Beach, N.Y.

• Buonocore broke the school record in the men's 1-meter dive, finishing second and logging a score of 340.58
• The senior also won the men's 3-meter dive, compiling 331.28 points.
• This is his sixth #AESD Diver of the Week honor of the season.

 
Male Rookie of the Week
Samuel Pikofsky-Christiansen, Binghamton - Fr., Silver Spring, Md.

• Pikofsky-Christiansen swept both the one- and three-meter diving events in the Bearcats dual meet win at Marist on Saturday
• His scores of 311.10 in the one-meter and 327.30 in the three-meter met the NCAA Zone Qualifying Standards in both events.
• This is his second career #AESD recognition.
