BOSTON – Six #AESD programs took to the pool last week as they continue to tune up for the 2026 America East Swim & Dive Championship Meet.
All seven programs return to action this week, competing in meets across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. The teams are also preparing for the 2025 America East Swimming & Diving Championship, set for one month from Wednesday. For the third consecutive year, the championship will be held at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI), where the teams will travel south to compete in the four-day event.
2025-26 #AESD Women’s Weekly Award Winners – Jan. 20
Female Swimmer of the Week
Natalie Schick, Vermont – Gr., Madison, WI
- In a two meet week Schnick recorded three-first place finishes ( 100 back, 200 back and 400 Medley Relay) and a runner-up performance ( 100 back)
- The Graduate-student logged a Catamout program record 54.68 in the 100 back on saturday before reseting the mark with a time of 54.67 on Sunday
- This is her first career #AESD Swimmer of the Week honor
Female Diver of the Week
Megan Beasley, Bryant - Jr., Harrogate, England
- Swept the 1-meter (273.90) and 3-meter (289.35) diving events in the dual meet against Marist.
- This is her fourth #AESD Diver of the Week honor of the season.
Female Rookie of the Week
Amy Kenworthy, Vermont - Fr., Tarporley, England
- Recorded a first place finish and logged a runner up performance in the 1,000 on back-to-back days
- Kenworthy touched the wall first on Saturday in the duel meet against URI swimming a conference leading time of 10:12.28
- The first year followed up her Saturday performance logged a time of 10:12.63 on Sunday to place second in the duel meet against UConn
- This is her first #AESD Rookie of the Week recognition.
2025-26 #AESD Men’s Weekly Award Winners – Jan. 20
Male Swimmer and Rookie of the Week
Yonatan Ahdut, NJIT - Fr., Jerusalem, Israel
- Earned three individual wins and a third place finish over the weekend
- The first-year broke the pool record in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 15:32.67 and clocked a time of 9:26.10 in the 1,000 free to lead the conference in both distances
- This is his second first #AESD Swimmer of the Week honor this season.
Male Diver of the Week
Christopher Buonocore, Bryant - Sr.,Long Beach, N.Y.
- Won the 3-meter and 1-meter events at the Bulldog's senior day duel meet against Marist
- The senior recorded a mark of 289.35 in the 1-meter and 346.20 in the 3-meter in his final home meet
- This is his fifth #AESD Diver of the Week of of 2025–26.
