#AESD Week 7: School Records Falls In Impressive Weekend

BOSTON – Six teams were in action this past weekend, competing at four different meets to put a cap on the first half of their swimming season, as multiple teams had new school records set.
 
Vermont won its fifth straight Harold Anderson Invitational this past weekend with 865 points, followed by New Hampshire in second with 726 points. Maine women took seventh in the meet with 235.5 points while the men were fourth.
 
Binghamton competed at the Magnus Cup, hosted by Cleveland State, as the Bearcats took third out of six teams, while the women were seventh out of nine. UMBC took part in the Bucknell invitational, with the men taking fourth and the women placing sixth.
 
Bryant competed in the Terrier Invitational as the men placed third with 936.5 points and the women were fifth with 742 points.
 
2025-26 #AESD Women’s Weekly Award Winners – Nov. 24
Female Swimmer of the Week
Ruby Tonelli-Smith, Bryant – Sr., Ventura, Calif.
  • Posted CSCAA A cut times in the 100 fly (53.12) and the 200 fly (1:58.32) at the Terrier Invite. Her 200 fly time is 2 seconds faster than any other swimmer in the league.
  • Also has the second-fasted 200 IM in the conference (2:03.72) and ranks seventh in the 100 back 56.85).
  • This is Tonelli-Smith’s second #AESD Swimmer of the Week honor of the season.
 
Female Diver of the Week
Megan Beasley, Bryant – Jr., Harrogate, England
  • Won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events at the Terrier Invite.
  • Her 1-meter score of 292.05 is tops in the league and she is still the only 3-meter diver over 285.
  • This is Beasley’s third #AESD Diver of the Week honor of the season.
 
Female Rookie of the Week
Julia Iwanow, Binghamton – Fr.,  Portland, Ore.
  • Earned a runner-up finish in the 200 breast (2:13.53) with a time that is ranked first in the conference.
  • Also swam the 100 breast (1:02.53) and the 50 breast (29.33), both of which are second in the conference.
  • This is Iwanow’s seventh #AESD Rookie of the Week honor.
 
2025-26 #AESD Men’s Weekly Award Winners – Nov. 24
Male Swimmer of the Week
Evan Peters, Binghamton – So., Rush, N.Y.
  • Broke the meet record in the 200 free at the Magnus Cup with a time of 1:37.43.
  • Took second in the 200 back 1:45.05) and third in the 500 free (4:29.32).
  • 200 free and 200 back times are the best in the conference this year and his 500 free is second.
  • This is Peters’ second #AESD Swimmer of the Week honor this season.
 
Male Diver of the Week
Samuel Pikofsky-Christiansen, Binghamton – Fr.,  Silver Spring, Md.
  • Runner up in both the one-meter event (303.00) and three-meter competition (308.00) at the Cleveland State/Magnus Cup this past weekend.
  • He meet the NCAA Zone Standard in the one-meter and his 308 is the second best in the league this year.
  • This is Pikofsky-Christiansen’s first #AESD Diver of the Week honor this season.
 
Male Rookie of the Week
Quinn Marchionini, UMBC – Fr., Silver Spring, Md.
  • In the Bucknell Invitational, competed in the 200 IM (1:48.88), 100 back (48.86), 200 back (1:48.07) and the 100 fly (48.62).
  • He owns the top time in the league in the 100 back, leading off the 400 medley relay, and has the second-best times in the conference in the 200 back and the 200 IM.
  • Ranks third in the conference with his 100 fly time.
  • This is Marchionini’s first #AESD Rookie of the Week honor this season.
