UAlbany Picked First in Women's Indoor Track & Field Preseason Poll

BOSTON –UAlbany women’s indoor track & field was picked to defend their conference crown in the 2025-26 #AETF Preseason Poll, which was released on Thursday afternoon.
 
The Great Dane women have claimed the past two titles and 11 of the past 12 championships overall, with a loss by 0.5 points to UMass Lowell in 2023 serving as the only second place finish. Binghamton claimed the final first place vote and had 52 points to take second after finishing third in 2025. The Bearcats have finished in the top three each of the past four seasons.
 
After earning the program’s first second place finish in 2025, Bryant was picked third with 49 points, following by UMBC with 40 and then New Hampshire in fifth (32). UMass Lowell (31) and Maine (30) were right behind.

The 2025-26 Indoor season gets underway tomorrow in earnest this weekend as eight of nine programs compete between Friday-Sunday.
 
The 2026 #AETF Indoor Championship will be held Friday, Feb20 – Saturday, Feb. 21 at Boston University.  The championship will be streamed on ESPN+ once again.
