#AEBase Week 4: Bryant Highlights Weekend with Win over Rutgers

BOSTON – Five of seven teams picked up a win over the weekend. NJIT, Binghamton, UMBC, UMass Lowell, and Bryant all found success on the field last week.

NJIT went 2-1 against Saint Peter’s while Binghamton took two of three games at the University of Richmond. The Bulldogs had a big win against Big 10 rivals Rutgers, Gavin Greger’s seventh inning RBI single would go on to be the game winner as Bryant took down Rutgers 5-4 on Sunday.

Player of the Week
Steven Kraus, Binghamton – So., First Base, Hilton, N.Y.
  • Had a 1.328 OPS in series win vs. Richmond with two home runs, three runs & three RBI.
  • Hit .364 with a slugging percentage of .909 and a .417 on base percentage.
  • This is Kraus’s first #AEBASE Player of the Week honor of the season.
 
Pitcher of the Week
Zach Robinson, UMBC – Jr., Pitcher, Alisbury, MD.
  • Pitched 7.0 scoreless innings in a win against UPenn.
  • Struck out seven while only allowing four hits and no walks.
  • This is Robinson’s first #AEBASE Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.

Rookie of the Week
Hunter St. Denis, Maine – Fr., First Base, Laytonville, MD.
  • Slashed .400/.500/1.000 at Dayton with two home runs, a double, four runs scored and five RBI.
  • This is Hunter St. Denis’s first #AEBASE Rookie of the Week honor.
