BOSTON – Binghamton and Maine picked up wins last week as the #AEBase season hit its second week. UAlbany and UMBC opened their campaigns.
#AEBASE Weekly Award Winners – Feb. 24
Player of the Week
Luke Filippi, UAlbany – Sr., Outfielder, Port Jefferson, N.Y.
- Slashed .385/.412/.667 in four games vs. Texas Tech.
- Had three RBI and four runs scored.
- This is Filippi’s first #AEBASE Player of the Week honor of the season.
Pitcher of the Week
Landon White, Bryant – Sr., Pitcher, Wallingford, Conn.
- Threw three scoreless innings with only two hits allowed & four strikeouts vs. No. 19 Clemson.
- This is White’s first #AEBASE Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.
Rookie of the Week
Troy Carpenter, Maine – Fr., Third Baseman, Kathleen, Ga.
- Had a 1.089 OPS with two home runs and six RBIs at High Point.
- This is Carpenter’s second-straight #AEBASE Rookie of the Week honor.
