BOSTON – UMBC, NJIT, and Vermont continue to dominant the top three spots of the conference, each posting undefeated weeks. NJIT has won six in a row, defeating New Hampshire and Maine this week while remaining in sole possession of first place, with UMBC just a half game behind at 9-2.
Vermont took down Binghamton and Bryant this week to move one spot behind UMBC at 9-3 with a 73-65 win over Binghamton and then a 90-63 victory against Bryant. The Retrievers have won seven of their last eight games and are right behind NJIT with three weeks remaining in the regular season.
Need to Know:
- NJIT’s ten #AEHoops wins are its most since joining the league ahead of the 2020-21 season and they can clinch a top-4 seed with a win on Thursday.
- UMBC defeated Maine, 78-62 and New Hampshire, 85-63 to go 2-0 this week in conference action.
- UMass Lowell won their lone game of the week, taking down Bryant 88-69. The River Hawks sit in fourth place at 6-5.
- UAlbany moved back in the win column with a 77-74 win over Binghamton and at 5-6 is still in the running for a top-4 seed.
Looking Ahead:
- This weekend NJIT hosts UAlbany and Vermont. The Highlanders secure a top-4 seed with a win over UAlbany on Thursday.
- UMBC hosts Vermont and then UAlbany this weekend, looking to earn its first win over UVM this season.
- UMass Lowell could move close to a top-4 seed with a sweep this weekend as the River Hawks hosts New Hampshire and Binghamton.
- Maine and UNH face off this weekend, while Bryant battles Binghamton on Thursday.

- Averaged 12 points per game with nine total steals and eight assists in a 2-0 week.
- Had a 15 points, four steals, and five assists in a win over Maine on Saturday.
