BOSTON - The America East conference is proud to announce that UMass Lowell has been named the winner of the 10
th annual #AEFoodFrenzy, marking the seventh consecutive title for the River Hawks. This year, UMass Lowell has contributed over 7,000 non-perishable items, continuing its longstanding commitment to supporting food security in the Middlesex County region.
The America East Food Frenzy is designed to address food insecurity across the United States. More than 47 million people experience food insecurity annually in the U.S., many of whom rely on local food programs. The initiative supports local food programs by providing both resources and awareness.

In addition to collecting over
20,000 items this year, America East staff members volunteered at the East End House in Cambridge. The nonprofit is a dynamic community center that provides services like food pantry, community workshops, parent education and senior programming for families in the Boston area.
