Boston - Bryant senior Jasmine Trott and UMass Lowell graduate student Wouter Van Den Akker will compete at the NCAA Cross Country Championships this Saturday, taking on the nation’s best.
The women’s championship begins at 10:20 a.m. ET, followed by the men’s race at 11:10 a.m. Both races will air live on ESPNU and ESPN+.
Trott, the 2025 Women’s #AEXC Champion, punched her ticket to the national meet with an eighth-place finish at Regionals on Nov. 14, running a time of 20:13.7 in the 6k. The senior distance runner will become the first Bulldog to compete at the NCAA XC Championships and helped lead her team to a program-best 11th-place finish at Regionals.
Van Den Akker, a two-time Men’s #AEXC Champion, is the first River Hawk to qualify for the National Championships since 2019, when UMass Lowell’s Chris Alfond and Ben Drezek both competed. The graduate student crossed the line in 10th place at Regionals, running 29:25.9 in the 10K.
