BOSTON – Following a record-breaking #AEMSOC season, the America East had 16 players earn All-Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
The 16 All-Region selections were the highest total in the region, surpassing the Ivy League’s 10 All-Region honorees. The America East claimed nine of the 11 first-team all-region positions, including all four first-team forward positions, a conference record.
New Hampshire led all schools with five selections on the First Team. Bryant finished with five total and one first-team selection, while Vermont had four honorees, including two on the first team. UMBC added a pair of All-Region selections. Complete All-Region List.
This season three #AEMSOC programs were selected to the NCAA Tournament, the first time that feat has been accomplished in conference history.
