BOSTON – America East student-athletes once again excelled in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year with nearly three quarters of them earning academic honor roll status.
 
Honor Roll recognition is bestowed to student-athletes who obtain a semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 higher during their competition season, while Commissioner's Honor Roll is reserved for student-athletes who earn a 3.5 GPA or greater.

 
Need to Know

• 75 percent of student-athletes who competed in America East sponsored sports this year earned Honor Roll recognition for earning at least a 3.0 GPA during the 2021 fall semester or 2022 spring semesters.
• Of that group, 48 percent of student-athletes and 1,630 in total earned Commissioner’s Honor Roll status for registering a GPA of 3.5 or better.
• Overall, 2,523 America East student-athletes earned Academic Honor Roll in 2021-22.
• America East student-athletes have averaged at least a 3.0 GPA in each of the last 17 years.

The Academic Honor Roll reflects grades from the 2021 fall semester for student-athletes who competed in fall sports (men's and women's cross country, field hockey, men's and women's soccer, volleyball) and the 2022 spring semester GPA for winter and spring sport student-athletes (baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, men's and women's swimming & diving, men's and women's track & field).
