BOSTON - The America East Conference has announced a new partnership with Chi Alpha Sigma, a non-profit organization that recognizes student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. Through this collaboration, a conference chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma will be established, giving student-athletes across all nine member institutions access to new awards, scholarships, and professional development opportunities.
“This partnership with Chi Sigma Alpha strengthens our commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes while elevating the visibility of their achievements,” said Commissioner Brad Walker. “This collaboration broadens the platforms through which our student-athletes are recognized and expands the professional growth, leadership, and support opportunities that will serve them long after their competitive careers conclude.”
Under this partnership, student-athletes with a 3.5 GPA or higher and junior academic standing will be eligible for Chi Alpha Sigma membership.
America East becomes just the fourth conference in history to join Chi Alpha Sigma. The collaboration will enhance student-athlete experience at all nine institutions and provide additional opportunities to excel on and off the field of competition.
