BOSTON – Six graduating America East student-athletes have received one of the conference’s highest honors as they were named Presidential Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday morning. The award recognizes graduating student-athletes who compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher as an undergraduate student and earned their undergraduate degres in either December or August.
In addition to registering a 3.75 GPA for their college career, honored student-athletes must have received their undergraduate degree in the academic year they are honored and have attended their institution for a minimum of two years.
The winter honorees are headlined by the reigning women’s soccer Midfielder of the Year, Alyssa Francese from Stony Brook as well as the 2019 men’s lacrosse Offense Player of the Year, Jakob Patterson from UAlbany. Additionally, UAlbany’s Adam Lulka (men’s basketball) and Hailey Summers (women’s soccer) and UMass Lowell’s Abigail Drezek (women’s soccer) and Jenna Chrabolowski (biology) earned the honor.
