BOSTON - UAlbany and Vermont both recorded back-to-back victories, while four programs registered a win during the opening weekend of the 2026 #AEFH season.
Need to Know:
- The Great Danes and Catamounts are tied for the league-best record at 2-0.
- UMass Lowell and Bryant both went .500 on the week, dropping their opening games before returning to action to pick up victories.
- All-Conference teams were announced on August 6.

Offensive Player & Rookie of the Week
Quinty Reumer, UAlbany – Fr., Defender, Hoofddorp, The Netherlands
- Logged two goals and an assist over two games in her first outings as a Great Dane.
- Recorded the game-winning goal against both Wagner and Boston College.
- This is Reumer's first #AEFH Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week honor.
Defensive Player of the Week
Mara Küskes, UAlbany – Sr., Defender, Mönchengladbach, Germany
- Made two defensive saves against Boston College in the Great Danes' 4-3 victory.
- Helped the Great Danes' defense hold Wagner to one goal.
- Logged three points on the week, scoring a goal and recording an assist.
- This is Küskes' first #AEFH Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Veerle Mous, UMass Lowell – So., Goalkeeper, Breda, Netherlands
- Did not allow a goal in 60 minutes of action across two games.
- Ended the weekend with a 0.00 GAA.
- This is Mous' first #AEFH Goalkeeper of the Week honor of the season.
