BOSTON – The America East is excited to announce its 2026-27 Championship Calendar, featuring dates for all 18 conference championships awarded during the year.
Ten champions will be crowned at predetermined sites this academic year. Additionally, volleyball, men’s lacrosse and women's lacrosse championships will take place at the top overall seed, while field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer, men's basketball and women's basketball will be played at the highest remaining seed in the championship contest.

The first championship of the year takes place on Friday, October 30 as UAlbany hosts the cross country championship for the first time since 2019. The River Hawk men seek to win their seventh straight championship while the Maine women look to defend their first crown.
For the second straight year, higher seeds will host each round and this year’s tournament will begin with quarterfinal action on Sunday, Nov. 1 as the No. 3 seed hosts the No. 6 seed and the No. 4 seed welcomes the No. 5 seed. The semifinals will take place on Nov. 3, with the championship set at the highest remaining seed on Friday, Nov. 6. New Hampshire is the reigning champion
Women’s soccer moves back a week this year, with the quarterfinals starting on Nov. 5, followed by the semifinals on Nov. 8. The women’s soccer championship will be on either Nov. 14 or 15, depending on field availability at the host school and Maine enters as the three-time defending champion. Men’s soccer will take place Nov. 7, 11 & 15 at the highest seeds with Vermont looking for a third straight title. Volleyball concludes the fall championship season, with teams competing either Nov. 19-21 or 20-22 in the gym of the regular season champion, with an additional day of rest built in between the semifinals and championship as UMBC seeks to repeat.
This winter, men’s and women’s swimming & diving travel to Buffalo , N.Y. to compete at the Burt Flickinger Center from Feb. 24-27. UMBC men and the Bryant women are the defending conference champions. The men’s and women’s indoor track & field championship will take place at the Track and Tennis Center at Boston University for a third straight year, Feb. 26-27, with UMass Lowell men and UAlbany women looking for a repeat.
Women’s basketball begins its playoffs with quarterfinal action on Thursday, March 4, followed by the semifinals on March 8 and championship on Friday, March 12. Vermont has won each of the past two championships. Men’s Basketball quarterfinal contests take place on Saturday, March 6, with semifinals on March 9 and the championship on Saturday, March 13. The higher seeds will host games each round, with the highest remaining seed hosting the championship as UMBC goes for a repeat.
Men’s lacrosse opens the spring championship season with semifinals on May 6 and the championship May 8 as UAlbany looks for a fourth straight championship. The top overall seed will host all three contests. Women’s lacrosse will take place May 7 & 9 at the No. 1 seed as UAlbany tries to make it three straight titles.
This spring Bryant University will host the men’s and women’s outdoor track & field championship for the first time, Saturday, May 8 and Sunday, May 9 with UMass Lowell and UAlbany going after repeat titles.
The 2026 softball championship will be contested May 12-15 at Binghamton with the Bearcats in search of a third straight championship. NJIT will host the baseball championship at Yogi Berra Stadium from May 26-29 as Binghamton tries to win a third consecutive crown.
