Men's Lacrosse 3/23/2026 11:00:00 AM #AEMLAX Week 7: UAlbany & NJIT Stay Perfect in League Play BOSTON – UAlbany and NJIT remain the lone unbeaten team in program action, following a pair of impressive wins on Saturday. Need to Know: NJIT opened up conference play with a 13-7 victory over Binghamton on Saturday night. The Highlanders outscored the Bearcats 9-3 in the second half to improve to 1-0 in league for the first time in program history. UAlbany came through with a 10-6 road victory at UMBC to improve to 4-4 and 2-0 in #AEMLAX play. Silas Richmond had a team-high four points in the win. Bryant earned its first conference win, taking down Vermont 11-8. The Bulldogs trailed 8-7 entering the fourth but outscored the Catamounts 4-0 in the final period to earn the win. UMass Lowell ranks 2nd in the nation in face-off percentage at 65.2%, led by Justin Alexander who ranks third at 67.3%. Alexander is also third nationally in ground balls per game at 8.57. Silas Richmond ranks 6th in the nation in points per game (5.1) and 11th in assists per game (2.4) Binghamton’s Connor Winters is 5th nation in saves per game (13.88) while also ranking 5th in save percentage (58.1). He’s the only player nationally in the top-five of both categories. Vermont’s Ryan Daly ranks 6th in GAA (7.91), while Walter Zhao is 6th in ground balls per game (8.14). NJIT’s Cameron Kurdyla leads the nation in saves per game (14.38) while ranking 10th in save percentage (57.2). Up Next: UAlbany looks to stay unbeaten, traveling to UMass Lowell for a 4 p.m. contest. NJIT is at Vermont in a battle for second place, while UMBC hosts Bryant looking for its first conference win of the year. Binghamton faces Delaware in non-conference action. #AEMLAX Weekly Award Winners – Mar. 23 Offensive Player of the Week Zac Amend, Bryant – So., Midfield, Rye, N.H. Scored four goals in an 11-8 victory over Vermont to secure Bryant’s first league win. Added two ground balls and a pair of unassisted goals in the final seven minutes to put the game away for Bryant. This is Amend’s first #AEMLAX Player of the Week honor this season. Defensive Player of the Week Max Neeson, UAlbany – Sr., Defense, Pottstown, Pa. Posed two ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 10-6 win at UMBC. Helped UAlbany to its fewest goals allowed this season and just 17 shots on goal. This is Neeson’s first #AEMLAX Defensive Player of the Week honor this season. Goalkeeper of the Week Cameron Kurdyla, NJIT – So., Goalkeeper, Bridgewater, N.J. Totaled 14 saves with a .677 save percentage in a win over Binghamton. Allowed just seven goals and improved to 1-0 in league play. This is Kurdyla’s first #AEMLAX Goalkeeper of the Week honor. Face-Off Specialist of the Week Flynn Wilson, Binghamton – So., Face-Off, Mount Pleasant, S.C Won 18-of-21 face-offs with 11 ground balls in a loss to NJIT. Also scored once in the contest. This is Wilson’s first #AEMLAX Faceoff Specialist honor this season. Rookie of the Week Carson Piscitiello, NJIT – Fr., Attack, Lakeville, Minn. Had two goals and one assist in 13-7 victory over Binghamton.
