BOSTON – Bryant is the lone remaining unbeaten team in the America East, while NJIT extended its win streak to three with two impressive victories this week.
The Week That Was
- The Bulldogs extended their record to 6-0 with wins over Merrimack (80-73) and Stonehill (77-48). Bryant has outscored its opponents by 98 points in the second half of games this season.
- NJIT blew out Saint Peter’s 81-33 to start the week and then beat Drexel 73-66 as Olivia Kulyk averaged 19.5 points 7.5 rebounds and 4.0 threes per game last week.
- Binghamton fell to No. 6 Michigan but rebounded for a dramatic 2OT 95-94 win over Akron to conclude its week.
- UAlbany won a pair of contests last week, beating St. Bonaventure 62-53 and Siena 67-42. as the Great Danes improved to 4-2.
- Vermont fell from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 71-65 loss at High Point and then a 71-39 defeat at No. 25 Washington on Sunday.
Looking Ahead
- This week Bryant looks to stay perfect with games at Boston U and Providence, while NJIT faces FDU and Lafayette at home.
- Vermont is in Hawaii for three games, while Maine plays a pair of contest in the Iona Tournament next weekend.

Co-Player of the Week
Bella Pucci, Binghamton – Jr., Guard, Rochester, N.Y.
- Averaged 24.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 steal per game in a 1-1 week.
- Had 29 points including three at the buzzer of regulation to force overtime against Akron and the game-winning layup in double overtime. Finished with 21 points in the fourth quarter and two overtime periods with her team down to five available players.
- Had 19 points and three rebounds in a loss to No. 6 Michigan.
- This is Pucci’s first career #AEHoops Player of the Week honor.
Co-Player of the Week
Nia Scott, Bryant – Jr., Forward, Medford Lakes, N.J.
- Averaged 20.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in a 2-0 week.
- Third DI player this season to post 25 points and 17+ rebounds, with 25 points and 18 boards in an 80-73 win over Merrimack.
- Had 16 points, six rebounds and six assists in a win over Stonehill.
- This is Scott’s second career #AEHoops Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Amaya Stewart, UAlbany – Fr., Forward, West Reading, Pa.
- Averaged 15.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in a 2-0 week.
- Finished with 17 points, five rebounds, one steal and one block in a 25-point victory over Siena.
- Added 14 points and seven boards in a nine-point win against St. Bonaventure.
- This is Stewart’s second #AEHoops Rookie of the Week honor.
