Maine Draws UCF in NCAA Women's Soccer First Round

INDIANAPOLIS - Maine women's soccer is headed to the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship for the third-straight year and will face 7th-seeded UCF in the first round on Friday in Orlando. Game time is 7 p.m. and it will be broadcast on ESPN+.

The Black Bears ralled from a two-goal deficit against Vermont in the America East title game on Sunday to send the contest to a penalty kick shootout, where they prevailed to capture their third-straight league crown. Maine is the first America East women's soccer team to win three crowns in a row since Boston University won five straight from 2007-11.

Maine (6-7-4) are 4-1-2 in its last seven contests. UCF went 11-3-5 overall, including 5-1-5 in the Big XII. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
