BOSTON – Binghamton remains the lone unbeaten team as they took down Maine over the weekend while UAlbany and UMass Lowell each picked up conference wins.
#AESB action kicked off Wednesday with an historic performance from Olivia DeCitise. The pitcher tossed a perfect game with 11 strikeouts to lead UMass Lowell to victory over Merrimack.
Friday featured a walk off in the eighth inning for the Great Danes. Sophomore Sara Scozzari hit a walk-off single to lead UAlbany to victory. UMass Lowell was able to secure a win over UAlbany Sunday afternoon in similar fashion. Kate Hardy reached first on an error to give UMass Lowell the 4-3 victory in the bottom of the eighth. Binghamton remain the only unbeaten team in the conference after going 2-0 against Maine on Sunday.
The Bryant-UMBC series scheduled for March 28-29 was canceled. Per America East policy, Bryant has been awarded three conference wins and UMBC assessed three conference losses. Per NCAA rules, the games are no contests and will not be reflected in either team's overall record.
Binghamton, UMass Lowell, Bryant and UAlbany face non-conference opponents on Wednesday before conference play continues over the weekend.

Player of the Week
Elisa Allen, Binghamton – Jr., Catcher, Groton, N.Y.
- Went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate (1.000), with two home runs, five RBI, and drew four walks.
- Recorded a slugging percentage of 3.000 while leading the conference in home runs and RBI this season.
- This is Allen’s first #AESB Player of the Week honor of the year.
Co-Pitcher of the Week
Hailey Errichiello, UAlbany – So., Pitcher, Roxbury, N.J.
- Went 3-0 this week with a 3.00 ERA along with 11 strikeouts.
- Errichiello pitched 14 total innings with one shutout.
- This is Errichiello’s first #AESB Pitcher of the Week honor this year.
Co-Pitcher of the Week
Olivia DeCitise, UMass Lowell – Jr., Pitcher, Troy, N.Y.
- DeCitise pitched a perfect game against Merrimack, retiring 21 batters and recording 11 strikeouts.
- Totaled 18.0 innings with 22 strikeouts and held opponents to just 13 hits throughout the week.
- This is DeCitise’s first #AESB Pitcher of the Week honor this year.
Rookie of the Week
Ella Van Alstyne, UMass Lowell – Fr., Pitcher, Beacon Falls, Conn.
- Offensively, Van Alstyne hit .429 (6-for-14) with a double and triple, while adding two RBI.
- Van Alstyne earned the first two wins of her collegiate career, going 2–0 with a 1.62 ERA across 8.2 innings. She struck out eight and allowed just two runs, helping Lowell secure three wins on the week with her two-way performance.
- This is Van Alstyne’s first #AESB Rookie of the Week honor this year.
