BOSTON – UAlbany finishes the week going 4-1 while UMBC sweeps Holy Cross and cruises to a 6-1 week.
The Great Danes have won four games in a row as they totaled 23 hits on their way to defeating Mount St. Mary’s over the weekend. UAlbany is close behind in second place with a .500 record as conference play begins next week. UMBC is 7-2 at home this season with four wins against Holy Cross this weekend. The Retrievers have been off to a hot start, winning seven of their last nine matchups. Maine won their final two matchups of the weekend, taking down Merrimack in a double header on Sunday afternoon.
Maine will face off against Saint Peter’s tomorrow at 1 p.m. to start the week. Bryant, UAlbany, and UMass Lowell will play Wednesday before conference games begin Saturday.

Pitcher of the Week
Jayda Koontz, UMBC – Fr., Pitcher, Glen Rock, PA
- Went 3-0 with a save and a 0.95 ERA in four appearances.
- Struck out 20 batters, walked only four, and allowed only three earned runs in 22.0 innings.
- This is Koontz’s first #AESB Pitcher of the Week honor this year.
