BOSTON – UMBC and UMass Lowell both extended their four-game unbeaten streaks and moved to 3-0 in league play, while Bryant posted its second consecutive conference victory.
Binghamton led UMBC 9-2 in the second quarter before the Retrievers scored nine straight goals to take an 11-9 lead deep into the third. The Bearcats tied the game with back-to-back goals by Olivia Muscolino, but UMBC’s Katana Nelson netted her sixth goal—the game-winner—with 2:27 remaining in regulation.
UMass Lowell earned its first-ever victory over UAlbany, 13-9, thanks in part to Jade Catlin’s five goals and Alexa Kuhn’s 10 saves. Meanwhile, Bryant had three different players record four goals each in a 15-5 win over New Hampshire.
The Wildcats are set to take on Cornell in non-conference action this afternoon, while Saturday features a full slate of league games: UMBC will host UMass Lowell, New Hampshire will travel to UAlbany, and Binghamton will welcome Vermont.
