Women's Lacrosse 4/30/2026 11:00:00 AM Four Programs Secure #AEWLAX Major Awards as All-Conference Honors are Announced BOSTON – UAlbany, Bryant and Vermont finished tied atop the #AEWLAX Standings at 5-1 with each claiming at least one major award and three First-Team All-Conference selections. The major awards were announced on Thursday morning, along with All-Conference, All-Rookie and All-Academic honors. The Great Danes captured three major awards, led by Midfielder of the Year Paisley Cook. Grace Cincebox took home Co-Goalkeeper of the Year honors for the second time in her career, while UAlbany’s Mya Carroll was named Rookie of the Year. Vermont’s Ayla Shea captured Co-Goalkeeper of the Year recognition, while Sarah Dalton Graddock was honored as the Coach of the Year. Bryant’s Jessica Tosone was recognized as the Defender of the Year, while Binghamton’s Emma Blloshmi was named Attacker of the Year. The award winners were determined in a vote by the league's head coaches who were not permitted to vote for their own players. The All-Academic selections were chosen by a committee of athletic administrators. 2026 #AEWLAX Major Award Winners Attacker of the Year Emma Blloshmi, Binghamton – Sr. Led the conference in goals with 51 and was second in points (58). Tallied 4 or more goals six times, including an America East record-tying nine goals against UMass Lowell. First Binghamton player to earn Attacker of the Year honors and second to earn a major award. Second straight first-team all-conference selection. Midfielder of the Year Paisley Cook, UAlbany – Jr. Leads UAlbany with 30 goals and one of three players in the league with at least 30 goals (30) and 15 assists (16). Set a conference single-season record with 142 draw controls, including a single-game record of 21. Named First-Team All-Conference at midfield and draw control. Third Great Dane in the past four seasons to be named Midfielder of the Year. Defender of the Year Jessica Tosone, Bryant – Sr. In conference play, led the league in caused turnovers (19) and anchored a defense that ranked second in scoring defense (8.3). Finished the regular season with 39 caused turnovers and 37 ground balls, both are ranked 2nd in the league. Second straight Bulldog to win the award, joining teammate Kaelynn O’Brien. Second consecutive First-Team All-Conference honor. Co-Goalkeeper of the Year Grace Cincebox, UAlbany – Sr. In conference play, ranked second in save percentage (.514) and third in goals against average (9.59) while making 9.3 saves per game. Recorded double-digit saves five times during the season and posted a 10-5 record overall. Second player to earn Goalkeeper of the Year honors twice in a career, after also winning in 2024. Second First-Team All-Conference selection. Co-Goalkeeper of the Year Ayla Shea, Vermont – Jr. Ranks 4th nationally in save percentage (.517), while leading the league in GAA (9.21) and ranking second in saves per game (8.71). Recorded double-digit saves six times, including 14 with just four goals allowed in a victory over UAlbany. Second Catamount to be named Goalkeeper of the Year. Named First-Team All-Conference. Rookie of the Year Mya Carroll, UAlbany – Fr. Leads all freshmen in scoring with 31 points on 23 goals and eight assists while starting every game in the midfield. Had six games with 3 or more points, including four goals in a win over New Hampshire. Sister Hailey was also named #AEWLAX Rookie of the Year, in 2019. Named Second-Team All-Conference. Coach of the Year Sarah Dalton Graddock, Vermont Led Vermont to a share of its first-ever regular season title and No. 1 seed in the #AEWLAX Championship. In conference play, Vermont ranked 2nd in scoring (12.5) and first in scoring defense (7.33), which is the lowest mark in the league since 2022. Team finished the regular season 9-6 overall and on a three-game win streak. Second coach from UVM to be named Coach of the Year. Bryant had a league-high five First-Team All-Conference selections, while UAlbany had four and Vermont had three. The Great Danes also had four on the second team for eight overall, while Vermont had three on the second and UMBC had two. Binghamton had a pair named First-Team All-Conference. UAlbany, Binghamton, Bryant and UMass Lowell each had two players named to the All-Rookie Team, while UMBC and Vermont each had one selection. Bryant had a league-high three All-Academic selections, followed by UMass Lowell, Binghamton and Bryant with two. Emma Blloshmi and Jessica Tosone both earned All-Academic honors and major awards. The 2026 #AEWLAX Championship begins on May 1 as No. 1 Vermont hosts No. 4 UMBC at 4 p.m. No. 2 UAlbany and No. 3 Bryant square off at 7 p.m., with both games on ESPN+ in Burlington.
