Lexington, Va. - Binghamton came alive on the final day of competition to claim a second consecutive conference title, while New Hampshire secured its fifth title in the past six seasons on Saturday night to conclude the 2025 America East Swimming & Diving Championships on the campus of VMI.
The Bearcats entered the evening leading by just 1.5 points (553-551.5) but thanks to an impressive Saturday they concluded with a 52.5 point victory over UMBC, 775-722.5. Bryant placed third with 575.5 points. NJIT was fourth with 417, followed by VMI (378) and Maine (344).
On the women’s side, New Hampshire finished with 782 points to claim its league-record 12th conference crown. Bryant was second with 686 points while Vermont took third with 637 points. UMBC was fourth with 405 points, while Binghamton (393), Maine (356) and VMI (112) rounded out the field.

New Hampshire freshman Lydia Hart took home Most Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet and Rookie of the Meet honors after winning the 200 free, 500 free and 1650 free. She is the first #AESD swimmer to earn both honors since Emily Escobedo of UMBC in 2014.
Wildcat Grace Blume took home Diver of the Meet honors after winning the 1-meter competition and taking 2nd in the 3-meter.
On the men’s side, Oliver Gassman of UMBC secured Most Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet honors for the second time in his career after a pair of victories in the 100 fly and 200 fly, along with a second place finish in the 50 free.
UMBC’s Isaac Poole was named Most Outstanding Diver of the Meet after claiming gold in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events.
NJIT freshman Ellias El Fallaki took home Most Outstanding Rookie of the Meet after securing victories in the 1650 free and the the 500 free, with a new conference record.
Ana O’Neil from New Hampshire earned the Women’s Elite 18 award with a 4.0 GPA in Health, Policy and Management, while Liam Preston from Binghamton won the Men’s Elite 18 award with a 4.0 in Business Administration.
Oliver Gassman took home the David Anderson Coaches' Award on the men's side, for scoring the most career points of any swimmer in this year’s championship with 225. Ella Church of Vermont captured the David Anderson Coaches' Award for the women with 189 career points.
The New Hampshire Coaching Staff was honored as the Coaching Staff of the Meet while Binghamton claimed the award on the men’s side.
Saturday Highlights
- In the 1650, Lydia Hart set a new conference record with a time of 16:14.71 while Ellias El Fallaki won the event on the men’s side in 15:26.51
- Audrey Mahoney set a new meet record in the 100 free with a record time of 49.32.
- The final meet record of the competition came in the men’s 400 free relay as Bryant came from the second lane to claim the title in a record time of 2:56.82.
