Swimming & Diving 2/21/2025 9:54:59 PM Multiple Records Broken on Day 3 of #AESD Lexington, Va. – It was a great night of competition Friday on the campus of Virginia Military Institute as the New Hampshire women had a dominant evening to take back first, while the Binghamton men moved ahead of UMBC The Wildcats ended the night with 527 points, while Bryant ( 493 points), and Vermont ( 450 points) round out the top 3 women’s programs. On the men’s side the Bearcats moved ahead of UMBC and have a narrow 1.5 points lead, 553 to 551.5 , while Bryant is in third with 374.5 points. COMPLETE DAY 3 RESULTS Day 3 Highlights: Bryant First-year Ruby Smith won her #AESD debut in in pool-record fashion, swimming 53.88 in the 100 Fly UMBC senior Oliver Gassmann won his fourth-straight 100 Fly title in a conference, pool and meet record, 46.13. In the 400 IM Binghamton men’s sophomore Lambert Harrison touched the wall first, while Bryant sophomore Amanda Witkus earned her gold medal in her #AESD debut First-year Lydia Hart from New Hampshire won her second event of the meet, taking the 200 Free in a pool record 1:47.89, while Bearcat first-year Evan Peters took the men’s title, touching the wall in 1:35.90 Vermont’s Ellie Fazio (1:01.82) and UMBC’s Christian Coleman (54.76) won the women’s and men’s 100 Breast, respectively. Newcomer Amelia Labno from New Hampshire dropped -.48 from her entry time to bring home gold in the women’s 100 Back, while Bearcat junior Max Kaback was the first to the wall on the men’s side. New Hampshire sophomore Grace Blume stood on top of the podium in the 1 meter dive in a meet record 286.60 Vermont took gold in the women’s 400 medley relay with a time of 3:42.27 while UMBC secured first in the men’s 400 medley relay in a meet, conference and pool-record 3:11.92.
