#AESB Week 2: Binghamton, Bryant Secure Wins as Season Continues

BOSTON – The second week of the 2025 season was underway this weekend with five teams competing. Binghamton won two of its five games, beating Providence twice over the weekend. Bryant picked up a win over Lafayette College and UMBC took down East Carolina Saturday.
 
Here are the week 2 #AESB Award Winners:
 
Player of the Week 
Brianna Santos, Binghamton – Gr., Outfield, San Mateo, Calif.
  • Hit a team-best .438 (7-for-16) in five games with two runs scored and two RBI’s
  • Finished the weekend with a 4-for-5 performance at the plate against Providence.
  • This is Santos’s first #AESB Player of the Week honor.
 
Pitcher of the Week 
Brianna Roberts, Binghamton – Jr., Pitcher, Monroe, N.Y.
  • Went 2-0 with a pair of complete-game shutouts over the weekend.
  • In 14 innings, she scattered nine hits, issued a pair of walks and struck out six batters.
  • For the season, Roberts is 3-1 with a 1.16 ERA in 23.1 innings pitched.
  • This is Robert’s third #AESB Pitcher of the Week honor.
 
Rookie of the Week 
Emily Baumes,  UMass Lowell – Fr., Infielder, Rexford, N.Y.
  • Slashed .714/.750/1.000 in four games.
  • In her first seven starts, Baumes holds a .500 batting average, a .625 slugging percentage, and a .571 on-base percentage.
  • This is Baumes’ second #AESB Rookie of the Week honor.
