BOSTON – The 2025 season got underway over the weekend with three teams in action. Binghamton won three of its five games, posting wins over FDU and Chattanooga, while Bryant also picked up its first win of the season beating Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday.
Five of the six #AESB programs are in action this week, including UMBC and Maine making their season debuts.
The preseason honors were announced on January 21.
Here are the week 11 #AESB Award Winners:
Player of the Week
Emma Lawson, Binghamton – Jr., First Base, Monroe, N.Y.
- Hit a team-best .533 (8-for-15) with four doubles and seven RBI in a 3-2 week for Binghamton.
- Finished the weekend with a .583 on-base percentage and an .800 slugging percentage.
- This is Lawson’s first-ever #AESB Player of the Week honor.
Pitcher of the Week
Delaney Glover, Binghamton – So., Pitcher, Hurdle Mills, N.C.
- Went 1-0 and didn’t allow a run in nine scoreless innings last week.
- Went four innings and got a no-decision against the host Hatters on Friday and picked up the win with five more scoreless innings against Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday.
- Walked only one and struck out three.
- This is Glover’s first-ever #AESB Pitcher of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Emily Baumes, UMass Lowell – Fr., Infielder, Rexford, N.Y.
- Slashed .412/.500/.471 in her first five collegiate games last week.
- Went 7-for-17 at the plate hitting .412.
- Drove in two runs and scored a pair.
- This is Baumes’ first-ever #AESB Rookie of the Week honor.
