Binghamton Selected First as #AEWLAX Preseason Poll and Preseason All-Conference is Announced

BOSTON – Following the first conference title in program history, Binghamton was chosen first in the America East Women’s Lacrosse Preseason Poll, while the league also released its inaugural #AEWLAX Preseason All-Conference Team.
 
The Bearcats were a unanimous selection at the top with six first place votes and 36 total points. UAlbany, who was the co-regular season champion with Binghamton last year, was picked second with 30 points and the remaining first place vote. UMass Lowell is coming off its best season in program history and was picked third with 25 points. UMBC was close behind in fourth (23), while Vermont (14), Bryant (13) and New Hampshire (6) rounded out the poll.
 
Binghamton had four players named Preseason All-Conference, led by former First-Team All-Conference selections Olivia Muscolino, Angelina Suau and Abigail Carroll. UAlbany also had four honorees, highlighted by Defender of the Year Mackenzie Salentre and Goalkeeper of the Year Grace Cincebox. UMass Lowell also had four honorees.

The 2025 season begins on Friday, February 7 as UAlbany  travels to Syracuse and Bryant squares off against Sacred Heart. One day later UMass Lowell plays at Manhattan and Binghamton travels to Villanova. On Sunday, New Hampshire hosts Marist while Vermont goes to Jacksonville.

Fans will once again be able to watch nearly every #AEWLAX contest this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV.
