BOSTON – Regular Season Champion UAlbany claimed three #AEWLAX major awards, while UMass Lowell secured two and Bryant captured the final award as the America East released its All-Conference, All-Rookie and All-Academic honors ahead of Friday’s semifinals at top seed UAlbany.
UAlbany’s Katie Pascale was honored as the Midfielder of the Year for a second straight season while teammate Mackenzie Salentre was recognized as the Defender of the of the Year. Great Dane sophomore Grace Cincebox was selected as the Goalkeeper of the Year. UMass Lowell’s Chloe Bowers took home Rookie of the Year honors while her coach Lisa Miller was honored as the Coach of the Year. Bryant’s Kenna Kaut was named the Attacker of the Year.
The majority of award winners were determined in a vote by the league's head coaches who were not permitted to vote for their own players. The All-Academic selections were chosen by a committee of athletic administrators.

Attacker of the Year
Kenna Kaut, Sr., Attack, Bryant
- Leads #AEWLAX with 65 goals and ranks second nationally with 4.33 goals per game.
- Second in the league in points per game (4.87).
- Unanimous selection as Attacker of the Year.
- Also selected to All-Conference First Team.
Midfielder of the Year
Katie Pascale, Sr., Midfield, UAlbany
- Leads #AEWLAX and ranks 19th nationally in points per game (4.93)
- Ranks second in the league in assists (32) and ninth goals (37).
- Unanimous selection as Midfielder of the Year and second straight year earning the award.
- All-Conference First Team selection.
Defender of the Year
Mackenzie Salentre, Jr., Defense, UAlbany
- Ranked first in the league in caused turnovers (26).
- Helped UAlbany post the lowest scoring defense in the league (9.85)
- Third Defender of the Year honoree from UAlbany.
- All-Conference First Team honoree.
Goalkeeper of the Year
Grace Cincebox, So., Goakeeper, UAlbany
- Led the league in overall saves per game (9.25) while playing one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the country.
- In #AEWLAX action, led the conference in both save percentage (.478) and GAA (9.85).
- UAlbany’s first Goalkeeper of the Year honoree.
- All-Conference First Team selection.
Rookie of the Year
Chloe Bowers, Fr., Attacker, UMass Lowell
- Led all rookies in goals (47) while trying for fourth in the conference.
- Had 56 points and ranked tenth in the league with 3.29 points per game.
- First UMass Lowell player to win a major award.
- All-Conference Second Team honoree.
Coach of the Year
Lisa Miller, UMass Lowell
- Led UMass Lowell to a program record 12-5 mark and first-ever appearance in the #AEWLAX Tournament by going 3-3 in conference play.
- Led the league in overall scoring (14.3 gpg) and was second in scoring defense (10.1 GAA).
- Miller is assisted by James Rippey and Aaron Gray.
In addition to major awards, the All-Conference teams were also named. UAlbany led the way with four honorees on the First Team and six overall. UMBC also had six, with three on each team. Binghamton and UMass Lowell both had five honorees. Bryant finished with three, while Vermont had two and New Hampshire earned one All-Conference selection.




Many of the award winners will be in action at the 2024 #AEWLAX Championship starting tomorrow at UAlbany's John Fallon Field. No. 1 UAlbany will host No. 4 UMass Lowell in the first Semifinal, while No. 2 Binghamton and No. 3 UMBC will square off in the second semifinal. The winners will play for the #AEWLAX title on Sunday, May 5 at 10 a.m. The game will be nationally televised on ESPNU.
