CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL

BOSTON – Defending champion UAlbany secured the top seed in the conference tournament for a second straight season and earned a share of the regular season title with Binghamton, as each finished with matching 5-1 marks in league play to conclude a wild regular season.

It marks the first #AEWLAX regular season title for Binghamton women’s lacrosse, who were the runner-up in last year’s conference championship. The Great Danes secured the top seed due to their 15-13 victory over the Bearcats during the regular season.

UMBC finished 4-2 to earn the No. 3 seed in the #AEWLAX Tournament while UMass Lowell earned its first-ever trip to the tournament as the No. 4 seed. The River Hawks and Bryant both finished 3-3, but UMass Lowell won the head-to-head matchup this year to slide into the final spot.
