#AEWLAX Week 8: Great Danes Stay Unbeaten

BOSTON – UAlbany came back from halftime deficit against Bryant to remain perfect in #AEWLAX play, while Binghamton and UMBC also secured crucial conference wins on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 7-4 lead over the defending champions on the road, however, a 5-1 run by UAlbany in the third gave them the lead for good. Bryant did pull within one at 10-9 early in the fourth. Binghamton improved to 2-1 in the league with a 10-9 victory over UVM by scoring the final three goals of the contest. UMBC beat UMass Lowell 14-12 thanks to a strong first half as the Retrievers moved to 2-1.

UAlbany travels south to UMBC with sole possession of first place on the line, while Bryant hosts Vermont at 12 p.m. Lowell and New Hampshire square off at 5 p.m. as each is seeking its first conference win. Binghamton and UML both play non-conference contests this week as well.

The preseason poll was announced on January 17.
