Lexington, Va. – The 2024 America East Swimming & Diving Championships made its way to the campus of Virginia Military Institute for the first time and following an opening day of competition Bryant leads on the men’s side and New Hampshire is first on the women’s side.

On the men’s side, Bryant leads with a score of 125 thanks to one gold medal, while Binghamton is in second with 110 points and Maine rounds out the top three with 81.
For the women, the Wildcats have 105 points, followed closely by Binghamton with 91 and Bryant with 90. UMBC is in fourth with 88 while UVM is fifth with 86.
Day 1 Highlights
- Vermont won its third straight 800 yard free relay, taking the title in 7:24.15 and just out touching UNH who was second in 7:24.27.
- The Binghamton men set a pair of new conference records, beginning with the 800 free relay. The Bearcats took the event by five seconds with their 6:28.94.
- Binghamton followed it up in the 200 yard medley, just edging Bryant with a time of 1:26.48. The Bulldogs where just 0.41 seconds back at 1:26.89.
- In the women’s 200 yard medley relay, Binghamton took the victory with a time of 1:41.51, beating UNH and Bryant.
- Bryant freshman Megan Beasley claimed the 1-meter diving title in her first #AESD Championship with a score of 265.45.
- Christopher Buonocore made it a Bulldog sweep in diving as he won the 3-meter with a score of 295.20.
