America East Unveils 2023-24 Championship Schedule

BOSTON – The America East is excited to announce its 2023-24 Championships Schedule, featuring the dates for all 18 conference championships.
 
Ten champions will be crowned at predetermined sites this academic year, with eight of those locations currently solidified. The locations of the #AEBASE and #AESB Championships will be awarded later this fall. Field hockey, volleyball, men’s and women's lacrosse will take place at the No. 1 seed while men's and women's soccer and men's and women's basketball will be payed at the higher seeds for each contest. lacrosse and women’s lacrosse championships

The championship slate kicks off with men’s and women’s cross country, which Maine will host for the first time since 2014. It will take place at Penobscot Valley C.C. in Orono, Maine on Friday, October 27.
 
Women’s soccer will be the second championship of the season, with contests taking place Oct. 29, Nov. 2 and Nov. 5. Field hockey’s six-team field will compete Nov. 2, 3 & 5 all at the highest seed, while men’s soccer will take place Nov. 4, 8 & 12. Volleyball concludes the fall championship season, with teams competing either Nov. 17-18 or 18-19 in the gym of the regular season champion.
 
This winter, men’s and women’s swimming & diving head south to compete at the Virginia Miliary Institute’s brand new Aquatic Center, Feb. 14-17.  VMI is an associate member in swimming & diving. The men’s and women’s indoor track & field championship heads back to The Track at New Balance, Monday, Feb. 19 – Tuesday, Feb. 20.
 
Women’s basketball begins its playoffs with quarterfinal action on Friday, March 8, followed by the semifinals on March 11 and championship on Friday, March 15. Men’s Basketball quarterfinal contests take place on Saturday, March 9, with semifinals on March 12 and the championship on Saturday, March 16. The highest seeds will host in each round of both tournaments.
 
In the spring, UMBC will serve as the host for the men’s and women’s outdoor track & field championship, May 4-5. That same weekend, men’s lacrosse competes for a title May 2 & 4 at the regular season champion while the women travel play May 3 & 5 at the field of the regular season champion. The softball championship will be contested May 8-11, while the baseball championship will be held May 22-25.
