BOSTON – Binghamton extended its win streak to five with another strong conference win, while UAlbany took down defending conference champion Vermont and Bryant secured its first #AEWLAX victory this past Saturday.
In a matchup of last year’s championship, UAlbany jumped out to a 6-3 halftime lead over Vermont and never let the lead shrink below three in the second half on the way to a 12-9 win. Bryant secured its first conference victory with a dominant 18-5 win over UMass Lowell, while Binghamton moved atop the #AEWLAX standings with a 2-0 mark, thanks to its 12-7 defeat of New Hampshire.
This Saturday, the Bearcats host Vermont as they look to make a statement and improve to 3-0 in conference play. Bryant travels to UMBC as the Bulldogs try to build off last week’s win, and UMass Lowell hosts UAlbany as the Great Danes seek to stay perfect in conference action.
The preseason poll was announced on January 26.
