BOSTON - It's a busy weekend of action as a pair of programs could clinch regular season championships in #AEFH and #AEWSOC as we enter the penultimate weekend of play. UNH field hockey is 6-0 and searching for the No. 1 seed, as is Binghamton women's soccer. A number of teams are looking to play spoiler and be sure follow all the action on AmericaEast.tv or ESPN+.

It’s a busy weekend of field hockey, with no game looming larger than UNH at #20 UAlbany. The Wildcats are a perfect 6-0 and a victory over the Great Danes (5-1) would clinch the top overall seed and hosting duties for the conference tournament as well as at least a share of the #AEFH Regular Season Title. The Wildcats are led by the sophomore trio of Tasmin Cookman, Tamera Cookman and Nicole Poulakis, who have combined for 37 goals and 22 assists this year. For UAlbany, Alison Smisdom has helped anchor the defense, while ranking second in the league in both points (36) and goals (16).
In other action, Vermont (3-3) could clinch a playoff spot with a victory over Maine (3-3) at 3 p.m. and #18 UMass Lowell (4-1) has its eyes on a top-two seed and would increase those odds with a with at Bryant (0-5). UC Davis and Cal play a non-conference game on Saturday, before returning east next weekend for the final two conference games of the year.

UMBC at New Hampshire – 2 p.m.
The regular season championship is on the line this Sunday as Binghamton (14 pts, 4-0-2) hosts Maine (13 pts, 4-1-1). A win by the Bearcats would clinch the No. 1 seed and at least a share of the regular season championship. In conference play these two teams boast the two best scoring differentials. A victory for Maine and draw or loss by UNH would guarantee a top-two seed. Abby Kraemer leads Maine and the conference in scoring with 10 goals, while Binghamton’s Kaitlyn Williams leads the league in save percentage (.897) and is second in GAA (0.67).
UNH, UMass Lowell, NJIT and Vermont could all possibly clinch playoff spots this week depending other team’s performances this weekend. The Wildcats (11 pts, 3-1-2) host UMBC (0-4-3), while NJIT and Vermont have matching 2-3-1 records. UMass Lowell is at 8 points (2-2-2) with a tough contest against UAlbany (5 pts, 1-3-2)

UAlbany at #24 Bryant – 7 p.m.
#16 Vermont (9 pts, 3-1) looks to put a stranglehold on first place when they battle UMBC (7 pts, 2-1-1). The Catamounts rank fourth nationally in GAA (0.500) and fifth in save percentage (.848), but have to face the Taylor Calheira who leads the league with ten goals this season.
NJIT (7 pts, 2-1-1) could take a towards a home playoff game with a tough contest at #19 New Hampshire (6 pts, 1-0-3), who is currently in the midst of a ten-game unbeaten streak. Bryant (5 pts, 1-1-2) earned its first national ranking in program history this week at #24 and looks to make a run for a playoff spot when they host UAlbany (4 pts, 1-2-1). They lead the nation with only three goals allowed this season. Binghamton (5 pts, 1-1-2) and UMass Lowell (0 pts, 0-4) also square off as both are still in the playoff picture.

UMBC is coming off an impressive 3-0 sweep to Binghamton on Thursday night and can take over sole possession of first place with a win this weekend. The Retrievers are 4-1 after getting a triple double from Aysia Miller against the Bearcats and they host Bryant, who is 3-2. The Bulldogs have won three straight contests and are 15-19 overall.
UAlbany (1-3) can make a playoff push this weekend as the lone team to play twice. They travel to New Hampshire (1-3) before returning home to host NJIT (1-4).
