Seven #AEWLAX Studs Named All-Americans

Seven America East women’s lacrosse standouts have been named All-Americans for the 2022 season by Inside Lacrosse media.

America East champion Vermont had a pair of selections in Carolyn Carrera and Ava Vasile. Carrera ranks second nationally among defenders in caused turnovers and third in ground balls while Vasile ranks in the top-20 in goals per game.

#AEWLAX Midfielder of the Year and Stony Brook sophomore Ellie Masera earned a spot on the All-America Second Team as a midfielder. Three Seawolves received honorable mention honors as Rayna Sabella, Kailyn Hart and Clare Levy finished their season with additional accolades. Hart and Masera are both top-25 goal scorers among national leaders.

Sophomore standout Katie Pascale ranks 12th in assists per game and top-20 in points per game. The UAlbany midfielder led the Great Danes to a regular-season title this season and capped her season as an All-America honorable mention.

A total of 14 America East student-athletes have been named All-Americans in the 2021-22 year, one shy of last year's total. Women's lacrosse had the highest total of any sport thus far.
