BOSTON – The 2022 women’s lacrosse regular season ended in the most dramatic fashion in recent memory as wins resulted in regular-season titles and postseason berths.
Binghamton battled Vermont on the road Saturday needing a win to get into the tournament. With 25 seconds left in overtime, sophomore Kristen Scheidel converted a free-position shot to clinch the Bearcats' second championship berth in program history. In a win-and-in game in Baltimore, UMBC topped New Hampshire, 13-10, to punch a ticket to the postseason.
Two undefeateds went head-to-head Saturday afternoon and No. 6 Stony Brook secured a ninth consecutive regular-season title with a 16-5 win over UAlbany.
