Two #AEWLAX Spots to be Determined in Final Week; Stony Brook Streak Hits 10

BOSTON – The America East Women’s Lacrosse Championship bracket will be decided Saturday as the regular season comes to a close.

UAlbany (5-0) has clinched the top seed and will host next week’s tournament. The Great Danes can win their first outright regular-season title since 2011 with a win over Stony Brook (5-0) Saturday.

Vermont (3-2) has secured the No. 2 seed in the championship. After a crucial 15-14 win over Binghamton last weekend in which New Hampshire (2-3) held the Bearcats scoreless over the final ten minutes, the Wildcats are one win away from clinching a postseason berth and the No. 3 seed. Binghamton (1-4) and UMBC (1-4) also have a chance at the three-seed and an ensuing matchup with the Catamounts. The Bearcats will be in Burlington Saturday while the Wildcats visit the Retrievers. Both regular-season finales can be viewed on AmericaEast.tv.
