BOSTON – Two teams have clinched berths in the 2022 America East Women’s Lacrosse Championship, leaving two more to be secured.
UAlbany topped UMBC 13-9 to remain unbeaten in conference play. Vermont won a battle with New Hampshire to secure a second consecutive postseason bid.
No. 6 Stony Brook has won eight-straight games and will travel to Binghamton for a Tuesday evening matchup.
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEWLAX this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. - Career-high seven points in win over New Hampshire.
- Vasile’s game-high six goals are also a career best.
- This is her first career Offensive Player of the Week award.
Defensive Player of the Week
Kameron Halsall, Stony Brook – Sr., Goalkeeper, Caledon, Ontario
- Played a scoreless first half against UMass Lowell.
- Made three saves a caused a pair of turnovers in the win.
- This is her second Player of the Week nod this season and fourth of her career.
Rookie of the Week
Allie Connerty, New Hampshire – Fr., Attack, Norwell, Mass.
- Career-high five points against UVM.
- Connerty scored twice and added three assists.
- This is her second #AEWLAX weekly honor.
