BOSTON – Stony Brook continued its conference win streak with two wins last week en route to securing its record eighth consecutive #AEWLAX regular-season title.
The Seawolves (8-0) earned the right to host the championship and enter the postseason on a ten-game win streak. The two remaining #AEWLAX Championship seeds were determined on Saturday - the final day of the regular season. UAlbany (7-2) topped Binghamton 18-6 on the road after previously securing the No. 2 seed. Vermont (6-3) won a tightly contested game 12-10 at Virtue Field over UMass Lowell to lock up the No. 3 seed. UMBC (5-4) earned the No. 4 seed.
The sixth-ranked Seawolves will take on UMBC in the championship’s opening matchup Thursday at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN+. UAlbany-Vermont will follow at 6:30 with the winners advancing to Saturday’s title game. Visit #AEWLAX Championship Central for more details leading up to the tournament.

Offensive Player of the Week
Taryn Ohlmiller, Stony Brook – Gr., Attack, Islip, N.Y.
- In two games, exploded for with 15 points on 11 goals and three assists.
- Ohlmiller’s eight goals on Saturday nearly tied the single-game conference record.
- Her three goals and three assists against UNH helped the Seawolves lock up the regular-season title.
- This is her second Offensive Player of the Week award this season and third career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Sophie McLaughlin, Vermont – Jr., Goalkeeper, Keene, N.H.
- Saved 14 of UMass Lowell’s 32 shots to allow the Catamounts to clinch the No. 3 seed.
- McLaughlin held the River Hawks scoreless in the final 2:18.
- This is her third Defensive Player of the Week award this season.
Rookie of the Week
Katie Pascale, UAlbany – Fr., Midfielder, Baldwinsville, N.Y.
- Six points on three goals and three assists in win over Binghamton.
- Pascale took seven shots, converting on three of her five shots on goal.
- This is her league-high fifth Rookie of the Week award.
