#AEWLAX Semifinal Matchups on Tap as Regular Season Concludes

For the eighth consecutive year, Stony Brook has won the America East women’s lacrosse regular-season title and will host the #AEWLAX Championship next week. The Seawolves (8-0) have not lost a conference game – regular season or postseason – since 2014 and continued their historic stretch of consecutive regular-season crowns.

The No. 6/7 team in the nation will be joined by UAlbany (7-2), Vermont (6-3) and UMBC (5-4) in the tournament. The Great Danes will make their 13th consecutive #AEWLAX championship appearance and 11th as a top-two seed in that span. The Catamounts clinched a berth for the first time since 2015 while the Retrievers are making consecutive postseason appearances for the first time since 2011-12.

#1 Stony Brook and #4 UMBC will square off in the first semifinal Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in a rematch of Saturday's regular-season finale. #2 UAlbany will face #3 Vermont in the other semifinal at 6:30 p.m. The winners will play for the America East championship at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 8. All games will air on the ESPN app.
